Our Governing Board

Our board work together to “Think and Plan” for our Centre. They do this by working in close partnership with our day-to-day Management Team; the management team then “Reflect and Act” on behalf of the board.

We do this by supporting each other as we work on the following topics each year:

  • Strategic and Annual Planning

  • Policy Development

  • Legal Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning

  • Human Resource Management

  • Future Direction

Strategic Goals for the June 2024 - july 2025 year:

Leaders & Kaiako use Te Whariki to inform curriculum design & show children’s developing capabilities overtime.

Back to basics with intentional quality – striving for excellence in our teaching practice and beyond

Implement effective monitoring & reporting of ECE compliance.

Implement system that helps build & support an inclusive team, with a focus on strong leadership & relationships.

Research local history & stories of mana whenua to implement into bi cultural curriculum

It takes a large group of people to effectively operate a community-based early childhood service. It is therefore important that we not only have a team of great staff, but that members of our community join our Board also.
